Pattern Energy GroupA?s corporate headquarters is in San Francisco.JOB PURPOSEThis position will have accounting responsibility for two or more operating wind and/or solar projects and their respective holding companies. The incumbent will work closely with other accountants within the accounting group based in both Houston and San Francisco, as well as individuals from other groups such as finance, legal, asset management, and tax.Key AccountabilitiesGeneral ledger responsibility for majority of accounts for assigned projects.Prepare account analyses and reconciliations on a monthly basis.Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual stand:alone financial statements Read, interpret, and summarize project contracts to assure proper accounting and compliance.Ensure that monthly, quarterly, year:end, and special project deadlines and requirements are met.Hands:on use, data entry and navigation of PatternA?s general ledger, and reporting software (currently Dynamics AX). Will need to learn to generate Dynamics reports from all system modules to take full advantage of Dynamics Data.Assist with quarterly (10Q) and annual (10K) public reporting requirements : primarily focused on compilation of footnotes and applicable disclosures.SOX 404 compliance duties.Maintain schedules to support income tax filing requirements.Set:up and maintain the accounting and permanent files for existing and new projects.Perform accounting research as needed.Responsibility for all internal, investor and lender monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.Full responsibility for completing the year:end audited financial statements for the projects assigned : preparing PBC items, writing footnotes, preparing the statements and interfacing with the external auditors to ensure the audits are completed on municate with other departments, third parties and within the accounting group to coordinate information gathering and resolve accounting, intercompany and investment activity issues.Limited loan compliance responsibility for the projects assigned : interest and principal payment calculations, prepare debt service coverage calculations and other actions necessary to maintain compliance with the loans.Prepare annual budgets and monthly cash forecast updates.Prepare monthly budget variance analysis.Coordination and payment of investor distributions and ability to respond to investor requests for information.Special projects as needed.Educational RequirementsA BachelorA?s degree in Accounting or equivalent major required. A CPA license or Canadian Chartered Accountant designation preferred.Required Work ExperienceThe following criteria will be used as a basis for Pattern to select a qualified applicant:Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience Accounting experience at a US public companyFamiliarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirementsThe following experience is preferred:Public accounting experience Renewable energy industry experiencePower plant accounting Purchase accounting : business combinationsInternational accounting experienceAdditional RequirementsMust possess strengths in the following and be willing to do research as needed
