The firm has recently been named to the Inc 5000 list of the nations fastest-growing private companies in addition to the Houston Business Journals top 100 fastest growing companies in Houston.Our client is seeking highly-motivated individuals to become an integral part of our Clients Accounting Client Services team.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Director of Accounting Services will report to the COO and be responsible for the overall delivery of Accounting Services solutions to clients. This includes directing and managing teams, control of budget and risk issues, management and oversight of service delivery to ensure overall quality of work and best-in-class client satisfaction. To fulfill this role, the Director of Accounting Services will: Own overall responsibility for the Client Services function across clients. Develop, coach, motivate, energize and inspire team members. Ensure the team is coached and mentored for complex scenarios Lead the delivery of Accounting Services to clients providing management and oversight of new and ongoing services projects including staffing, project assignments, capacity planning and project profitability Maintains complete control of budget and risk issues; facilitates timely decisions to maintain budget and mitigate risks Identify project risks early and assist by providing prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance Sets and manages client expectations; ensures quality of service delivery adheres to all agreed-upon client SLAs Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships Lead Client Services team across multiple office locations. Directly supervises Accounting consultants Conducts employee performance reviews/evaluations and career development discussions; recommends performance ratings; trains and coaches to develop and enhance the performance and skills of team members Participates in the interviewing, selecting, hiring and firing of employees; ensures training of new staff Develop executive level presentations that succinctly and persuasively communicate performance and strategy to clients, employees, the leadership team and executives Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop sales leads into existing and new clients Participate in customer/partner presentations and maintain excellent customer relationships throughout target industries Oversees and executes process improvements and the development of policies, procedures, methods, and tools in support of delivery Actively remove any barriers to create an environment that promotes and encourages team work and client success across the business Develop and maintain systems and processes that provide genuine visibility and provide quantitative and qualitative input for strategic decisions Support pre-sales processes by working with sales and account management professionals to win new business; implement business; proposal review and refinement; recruit and develop staff Establish strategic plans along with other business leaders and maintain strong relationships with solutions delivery, the sales team, client and account managers and other business leaders in support of cross-product businesses Serve as a core member of the Management Team. In this capacity, provides management with regular updates; serve as a critical advisor to the team as a Professional Service leader and helps to set the direction for the professional services team Maintains reporting on capacity, amount of services work, and future outlook in order to advise strategic direction settingQUALIFICATIONS: Executive Management engagement skills with an ability to establish strong relationships with client decision makers. Strong interpersonal skills that establish Trusted Adviser relationships with clients 8+ years of practical Accounting experience demonstrating progressive management and leadership experience, preferably in a client services environment Degree in Accounting/Finance required. CPA certification required. Advanced degree or other qualifying certification (CMA) beneficial Consulting experience end-to-end through the entire Client Services delivery lifecycle following a process-based methodology Ability to work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of a customers organization Advanced business analytics skills solving complex problems and interpreting customer requirements into deliverable solutions Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and high personal quality expectations Ability to successfully multi-task across projects, customers, and internal activities Highly enthusiastic, proactive, positive-minded, customer focused, and service-oriented Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience in assessing client requirements across a broad array of business processes including accounting, inventory, order entry and project management Experienced in a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, revenue recognition, audit, tax, asset administration, general ledger, credit and collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. Additional experience developing, maintaining, and providing financial information, plans, and projections. Experience performing analysis of financial studies, preparing, reviewing and interpreting financial reports and summaries for management Ability to travel up to 25%LOCATION:Houston, TX
