Job Summary 13;
We are in the process of filling open positions for the combined company following CenturyLinks acquisition of Level 3 Communications. All qualified candidates who express interest by submitting an application to an open posting will be considered. However, based on business needs, preference may be given to internal applicants on certain positions. Internal applicants are current, active CenturyLink employees, including Level 3 employees who have transitioned to CenturyLink as part of the acquisition.
The Sr. Project Manager position is critical to region projects with an emphasis on supporting the market, and may at times include projects that reach beyond the region. Partner in a team environment or be able to independently manage and document all aspects of one or more project(s).
Job Description 13;
:Develops, plans and manages implementation of activities for multiple, moderately complex projects/programs for external/internal customers.
:Accountable for timely project completion and delivery.
:Analyzes work plans and makes recommendations for improved processes.
:Develops customer:facing project plans to document project scope, schedule, tasks, change control and risk management.
:Develops and maintains status reports and tracking sheets to be communicated in both a formal and informal setting.
:Requests project site surveys at customer locations to help solidify project scope and identify project variables.
:Works with data, voice and CPE/911 Engineers to ensure customer needs and project scope are clearly defined.
:Works closely with Operations Technicians and their Supervisors to ensure that project tasks are completed to scope and in a timely fashion.
:Conducts meetings with stakeholders to determine objectives and execute on deliverables. 13;
:5+ years professional experience with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience or 2:3 years with a Masters Degree
:Demonstrated project management skills; must have experience in establishing timelines, detailed reports and executive summaries
:Ability to manage projects to completion, and to provide status and escalation throughout the project process
:Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
:Strong communication skills (oral and written) are a must
:Ability to communicate project needs to internal and external teams/vendors
:Experience within or knowledge of telecom industry
:Familiarity and experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy)
:Knowledge of project management PMI standards and processes
