About the Job

Are you a staff accountant with strong General ledger experience looking to join a great stable Houston company? Our client is looking for GL Staff Accountant, who is responsible to accurately and timely apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare monthly financial statements for respective business units. Duties include: Monthly accounting close; ensure timely and accurate reporting; complies monthly key stat information; general ledger reconciliations, provides monthly analysis of monthly results; Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting and control procedures as necessary to meet established company goals. Monthly balance sheet reconciliation; Intercompany reconciliations; reconciling items cleared with 60 days; review permanent accruals annually and handle special projects as assigned.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 4+ years of related experience with good tenure. There is a lot of opportunity within this company to gain new responsibilities. Compensation for this position can reach up to $70k + a bonus for the ideal individual.
