Title: Database Administrator : DLS
Responsible for oversight and administration of a physical asset database management application, including but not limited to data preparation, loading, validation and problem resolution tasks associated with managing physical asset storage and retrieval records.
General Job Duties:
Candidate will work under general supervision and within a team environment, but require independent judgment or evaluation of various issues to proactively problem solve data transformation and data reconciliation issues. The majority of the content in our database are related to the oil and gas industry, so prior industry knowledge is a plus. Candidate will interact on a daily basis with data entry personnel and also be called on frequently to import customer metadata or inventory data for ongoing oversight and possibly interact directly with our customers.
Specific Job Duties:
Our records management software (RMS) is Total Recall : a DHL product. This RMS is used to track physical inventories (incoming, static records and outgoing), records retention and destruction status, chain of custody and associated billing actions. This RMS provides a web:based portal for internal and customer facing access that enables customers to view and submit requests for retrieval of their physical records. This role will focus on reconciliation of duplicate records, leveraging the full capabilities / utilities of the RMS as well as modification / customization of data fields, design and / or modification of internal and external portals to meet customer needs. This candidate will drive improvements in data base integrity / quality by running validations to ensure load / data entry accuracy as well as periodic audits to ensure overall system / database security. This candidate will also assist with training and documentation (as needed) for data entry personnel including basic queries for reports required by operations management.
Industry experience or University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in Engineering / Computer Sciences or related field.
Typically requires 5+ years industry related experience as a DBA
Ability to make sound decisions related to the validity of information and sources
Proficient in the use of internal systems applications : Experience with Axiom mainframe a plus.
Strong attention to detail

Proficient in SQL queries, SQL Server and MS Access
Proficient in use of MS office applications
Excellent interpersonal skills
