Job Description

The Community Cloth seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist with development in marketing, social media awareness, fundraising, and communications. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and social media while working for a community based nonprofit organization. This position will mainly consist of working with the Program Manager to attend sales events/fundraisers to raise awareness of program. The internship's primary responsibility will be to plan, develop and deploy social media posts.


Plan, manage and post The Community Cloth social media to encourage people to visit our website and attend our events.
Attend events to advertise program and sell product.
Assist in writing blog and social media posts about our artisans.
Design flyers, evites and other marketing material for major events hosted by The Community Cloth.
Update The Community Cloth website and database when needed.
Help with development of content for social media and web site.
Assist in purchase management and organization of product for online store and events.
Collaborate on product development for fall/winter items.


This position requires a mature individual who:

Has some knowledge of the non-profit sector.
Effective communicator, especially in writing.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts.
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Interest in women empowerment.
