We are looking for a DevOps Engineer/Automator well skilled and knowledgeable of version control systems (VSTS/Git) to join an existing release engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with development, quality assurance and deployment functions to build, configure and maintain a diverse group of critical application environments necessary for the development, testing and release of new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications

The successful applicant will help us manage all build, release and deploy processes of the next generation seismic interpretation system with an emphasis on a next generation user interface, 3D visualization and web-based client/server application. The bulk of the code is C# and C++. The C# code is primarily built on Windows, but must run on Windows .NET and Linux Mono. The C++ code is primarily built on Linux.

⚫ 4+ years DevOps/build experience
⚫ Docker/Containers
⚫ Chef/Puppet
⚫ Continuous Integration (CI) Automation – Jenkins, TeamCity, ElectricFlow
⚫ Strong programming/scripting skills – C#, python, perl, power shell

At its core, this position requires an individual that is proficient in TFS (Microsoft Team Foundation Server), MsBuild (Microsoft build platform), IIS (Internet Information Server), NUnit (unit testing framework), NCover (code coverage), Visual Studio, Makefile, Linux c-shell script, and Perl. Knowledge of ASP .NET, ASP.NET MVC3, C#, JavaScript, HTTP, and HTML5 is a plus.

Programming experience in C++, C#, .NET is a plus. Agile software development methodology preferred.

Bluware requires a contributor - someone that is self-motivated, can collaborate ideas with the team, and who can work autonomously not requiring large amounts of hand-holding to come up to speed. The candidate we are seeking will be working with software application developers and geoscientists to develop and maintain continue build and nightly build, verify releases, and maintain source repository.
