Developing software for an upstream oil and gas industry can be very challenging due to various environments under which it has to work flawlessly. In this position, you will apply your expertise to help shape and manage technical vision and strategies that align with the business unit roadmap by identifying opportunities, providing solutions and solving business challenges. In this capacity, you will collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the software architecture being designed is aligned with business requirements. You will be instrumental in helping facilitate the development of highly efficient, highly reliable, fault:tolerant scalable solutions to satisfy those objectives.
Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience. A graduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred.
7 years relevant experience
Experience with multi:threaded applications preferred
Demonstrated ability to stay current with Application Architecture best practices, design patterns, existing and emerging technologies and platforms, architectural and systems engineering trends
Demonstrable knowledge of the entire software development process is required and experience working on agile teams
Expertise in integration, SOA, RESTful APIs, and middleware technologies
Proficient with the MEAN technology stack
Experience in the cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) space
Must understand the need to and be willing to develop unit and integration tests
Experience in agile/scrum teams using TFS and SharePoint preferred
Broad and Deep technical knowledge of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects
Familiar with latest .NET and web technologies and trends
Must possess excellent communication skills
Background developing scientific or commercial applications in a production environment
MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering
Familiar with microservices development and the use of containers
Experienced with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
Familiar with data analytics
Knowledge of application virtualization solutions
Experience with Teiid data virtualization and federation, virtual database, data connectors, data mapping, and data services
