As a Bakery Bar attendant your first responsibility is to be available to our guests. Many guests are unsure about how the dining process works and will have questions about the different products available at the bakery. Your warm smile, eye contact and personality will make them feel welcome.

The guest also enjoys our wide variety of offerings. Make certain all products are readily available and attractively displayed on the bar. Your bar holds the Blueberry muffins and Pizza focaccias. These items drive guests to come to our restaurant; and are so important that if they are not absolutely perfect we may cause a guest to never return. All of us depend upon your skill to make sure these items are perfectly made.

Also, it is very important in a self-selection restaurant that the guests have the fullest confidence that the food products and surroundings are wholesome and healthful. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that you keep everything \"ESPECIALLY CLEAN\".

Finally, you are part of the team. You are a person who wants to contribute to the entire effort of making it great for the guest. You should feel free to do whatever is needed to ensure a wonderful experience for the guest.

Job Duties:
  • Bake all items according to the recipe.
  • Insure shape and visual of the product is according to the standards of the recipe.
  • Work according to tight production schedules, constantly check that the correct quantities are being produced and displayed for the guest.
  • Be vigilant about using exact procedures and pay strict attention to timing and guest flow to produce the highest quality product and reduce waste.
  • Stay organized and on top of his or her work at all times.
  • Be self-motivated and engaging and informative to the guest.

Sound knowledge of hygiene and safety standards and the discipline to enforce those standards (including food safety, temperatures, cutting gloves and mitts, etc)

In order to perform the essential functions of the positions at Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants, employees must be able to walk & stand consistently for up to 8 hours, and lift & carry items weighing up to 30lbs for a minimum of 3 hours each day. Reach, bend, push & pull items for up to 2 hours each day and must be able to use fingers, hands, arms and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each day.
