Houston, Texas 77073-3499. Position Summary: Provide leadership in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student services program. Oversees the office of Admissions, Counseling, Recruitment, and is responsible for registration, recruitment, and student discipline. Collaborates with other LSC administrators, faculty, and staff to provide service to students and serve as their advocate. Work is evaluated by the Vice President of Student Services in terms of desired outcomes and goals achieved. Job Functions: Makes decisions concerning policies and procedures; serves as student advocate at various LSC meetings Evaluates and improve services to students Directs admissions and registration process; prepares related reports Maintains an accessible program for which students can receive academic advisement, and career/personal counseling Provides support to the Financial Aid office as needed Plans out-of-classroom experiences; advises studentorganizations Supports retention and recruitment by corresponding with students and helping them develop their schedules Creates campus brochures highlighting student services Enforces college policies and procedures.
