2 questions: Is the Bible meant to be understood only by a certain few? What would be its purpose if that were the case?

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

[We adults sometimes describe a child's mind as being like a sponge; we should also become like them and absorb the truth of His Word. “Humble” means submissive, accepting without doubt. What happens if one doesn't become like a child]?

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

[Don't allow yourself to be deceived in any manner, Christ's teachings and His doctrines are simple and easy to understand. As stated in above verses, receive His Kingdom as a little child, no need to make it complicated. Get it straight from His word through personal study. See 2 Timothy 2:15. You don't have to be a seminary graduate to understand the Bible].

Read and study the Bible completely and daily when possible. If you are studying it and not understanding what is written, ask Him for the wisdom to understand it. He gives you what you need. See James 1:5.
