The ideal Assistant Manager candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping. Must have flexible schedule to accommodate evening or weekends as needed.
The Assistant Manager is a business professional with previous who helps maintain the financial records and transactions for a multi-million dollar apartment community by performing a variety of routine calculating, posting, and clerical work in accounting and financial operations. Prepares deposit and bank transactions, reconciles cash funds, and prepares tabulations to account for transactions, posts accounts payable and monitors expenditures versus budget. Applies knowledge of basic double-entry bookkeeping and office machines used in accounting.
The Assistant Manager takes a lead role for all property Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing and the ability to work independently are required. Must be able to address the concerns of our residents in a friendly and professional manner and communicate effectively with property vendors.

Double-entry bookkeeping
Performs business arithmetic with speed and accuracy
Great computer skills
Uses a variety of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, as well as our proprietary property management software
Strong financial and administrative background
Strong budgetary understanding of the community and be able to verify financial data against ledger accounts
Excellent communication
Customer service oriented
