Pattern Energy GroupA?s corporate headquarters is in San Francisco.JOB PURPOSEUnder the general direction of the Corporate HR Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for providing day to day human resources support in the Houston office and at wind farm locations. This is a dual:role involving a variety of human resources and some office management responsibilities which include but are not limited to HR compliance, recruitment and training coordination, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, facilities coordination and managing the administrative staff.Duties and Key AccountabilitiesHuman Resources Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for human resources questions and concerns.Educate staff on and maintain compliance of HR and corporate policies and procedures.Work closely with the HR team in San Francisco corporate headquarters and local management to drive, maintain and/or roll out HR Programs (including recruitment, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, teambuilding, training programs, etc.).Collaborate with Houston management and corporate HR to develop an overall HR strategy for the Houston office and Operations team.Provide coaching and counselling to resolve employee relations issues; Escalate employee relations issues to the HR Director and internal and/or external employment counsel as necessary.Write internal approval/justification memos, create employee action notices, draft offer letters, and send HR related emails and correspondence.Assist hiring managers with on boarding new hires/new hire orientation ensuring a positive employee experience (Liaise with IT, Facilities, corporate HR, procurement).Work with hiring managers to write or revise job descriptions.Assist with candidate interview scheduling/coordination and participate in candidate interviews.Conduct exit interviews and provide collected information to corporate HR in a timely manner.Must be a strong taskmaster and ensure that HR projects and tasks (including following up with all parties involved through completion) are completed in a timely manner.Foster a positive, fun, collaborative environment.Occasional travel to windfarm sites and headquarters as necessary. Office Management Responsibilities: In partnership with the corporate Facilities Manager, serve as the go to person for escalated office services requestsCo:manager and mentor the Office Services Coordinator.Coordinate office wide special events such as happy hours, holiday parties and other group activities.Liaise with building management and security as needed. Plan and coordinate office preventative maintenance activities with the appropriate vendors such as quarterly carpet cleaning.Manage a clean, organized, functional and comfortable office space, gently encouraging others to do the same. Administrative Manager and Other Responsibilities: Supervise the Houston administrative team.Participate in administrative staff meetings.Assist team members with resolving day to day issues.
