Under broad direction, supervises engineers and/or other technical staff members within a mechanical discipline.
Experience with new product development.
Provides technical guidance to the group.
Conducts goal setting and performance appraisals of personnel.
Utilitizes project management skills and tracking tools in the organization and execution of project assignments.
Executes tactical action plans as set by department goals and objectives.
Manages the development team to ensure delivery.
Responsible for identifying and staffing mechanical engineering discipline with skilled staff.
Manages internal and external resources with a goal of meeting timelines and technical deliveries.
Job role has budgetary type accountabilities.
Minimum of a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of experience in a relevant or related field. PhD is preferred.
