Our Evidence-Based Medicine practice is rooted in the Functional Movement Systems, utilizing both the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).
Our facility treats a broad clientele, ranging from the aspiring athlete and weekend warrior, to the professional athlete, and everything in between. Our Athletic Trainers, who are highly respected members of our team, provide individualized rehabilitation programs for each patient to best maximize treatment outcomes. Additionally, we create functional training programs for clients who want to improve mobility and reactive core stabilization, in a unique and challenging session.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Our commitment is to deliver high quality, one-on-one care to all patients. Thorough knowledge of anatomical structure and function, as well as physiological and biomechanical responses to exercise
Understanding of the effects of static and dynamic stress loads on the human body
Hands-on involvement with the rehabilitation process by performing an extensive variety of treatment and rehabilitation procedures consistent with orthopedic care
Patient instruction of therapeutic exercises and strength and conditioning programs
Provide patient education in the areas of sports injury prevention and related care
Development of, and knowledge of when to advance, both rehabilitative and functional training programs
Utilization of appropriate, sound, and up-to-date clinical techniques to effectively assess and treat athletic injuries under clinical supervision while maintaining adherence to protocols
Administration of therapeutic modalities, and knowledge of indications and contraindications for each (Ice, Moist Heat, Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation)
Maintain communication with supervising doctor on patient response to treatment and rehabilitation
Provide input on the fitness and conditioning status of patients
Document patient rehabilitation, training and instruction in a timely manner
Adherence to all privacy laws concerning confidential patient information
Cooperative effort with clinic staff to develop and/or improve departmental protocols
Develop and cultivate contacts with referring physicians, businesses, schools, coaches, fitness groups, and referral sources

Job Requirements


Graduate from CAATE approved Athletic Training program (Master’s preferred)
NATA/BOC Athletic Trainer Certification
Current or Eligible for Texas State Athletic Training License
Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in athletic training
Decision-making assessment skills in regard to injury evaluation and patient outcome goals
Effective interpersonal skills to communicate both in person and in writing
Ability to interact with management, doctors, professional staff, patients, and the general public, as well as local schools and community athletic groups as needed
Very Competitive Hourly Wage (Monday-Friday 40/hr work week) PLUS Commision for Functional Training Services provided to clients.
