Kingwood Medical Center is currently looking for an Employee Health Manager. The Employee Health Manager is responsible to oversee and coordinate the Employee Health and Safety program. This program ensures that on-the-job employee injuries/illnesses are managed in a manner that provides quality care to employees and complies with corporate/hospital policy. The Employee Health Manager also plays a major role in providing pre-employment screenings, administering annual health screenings and compliance with all regulatory requirements related to employee health. The Employee Health Manager works closely with Infection Control and the Safety committee, in addition to the hospital leadership, to promote a safe, healthy workplace for all employees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manages the documentation, assessment, care, light-duty assignments and return to work for all employees who experience an incident on the job that could or did lead to injury or illness. Is responsible to ensure timely and complete documentation of all employee occurrence report. 2. Coordinates and manages the care of all employees who are injured on the job, including referrals, appointment setting, medical record documentation and invoice approval for payments to service providers. Serves as a case manager for all employee injuries. 3. Maintains frequent contact with hospital leadership team regarding injured employees, light duty assignments, projected return to work and other pertinent employee information. 4. Manages the Employee Health program, including pre-employment and annual health screenings, employee inoculation and testing programs, Blood borne Pathogens and TB Control programs, and other regulatory requirements. 5. Serves as an active member of the Safety Committee and Infection Control Committee, providing reports and feedback as required. 6. Provides education and support for Employee Health and Safety program to hospital leadership team. 7. Administers first aid to minor employee injuries. Makes appropriate medical referrals for cases requiring medical attention. 8. Other special projects as assigned.
