Occupational Medical CARE is an occupational medicine private practice seeking a full time Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for conducting evaluations to determine the patient’s abilities and limitations, determining if intervention is needed, developing treatment plans and administer physical therapy for our patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following injury, surgery or illness. The Physical Therapist will typically report to the Director of Operations and will work cooperatively with physicians and in accordance with state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established policies and procedures. An additional responsibility will be to supervise assistants and aides.
The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program, have a Master’s Degree, have Texas licensure, 3-5 years of experience, and must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures to plan and accomplish treatment goals. Documentation must be timely and reflects skilled intervention and comprehensive assessment of the patient's progress or lack of progress. Additionally, The Physical Therapist must have the ability to perform Functional Capacity Evaluation, become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment, patient care equipment, evaluation tools, therapeutic modalities as well as office equipment such as copier, multi-line feature telephone, fax machine, computer, and miscellaneous office equipment. The Physical Therapist must also with ICD-10 codes.
Experience with work related injuries including hand injuries and being bilingual is a plus.
