Located near the Texas Medical Center, Woman’s offers 397 licensed beds, including a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and a full range of women’s health services and newborn infants.
More than 650 board-certified physicians at Woman's offer their expertise and an outstanding level of quality care in the areas of gynecology, obstetrical care, high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive surgery.
The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is currently looking for a Department Secretary for its Rehab Department. This is a full time position.

  1. Under the supervision of the Director of the Fitness & Therapy Center, is responsible and held accountable for all activities related to the administrative management of the Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy services.
  2. Responsible and accountable for patient scheduling and management of therapists daily work schedules to optimize both productivity and quality patient care.
  3. Contacts new patients promptly, obtains and gives appropriate information and facilitates commitment for first appointment
  4. Enters daily charges accurately and in a timely manner
  5. Manages patient flow through the clinic from registration to exit
  6. Does daily call backs to minimize no-shows and cancellations
  7. Manages medical record to include set up of new chart, matched with diagnosis specific patient education materials.
  8. Pulls medical records for patients no longer receiving therapy, discharges chart at appropriate time, ensures completion and sends to Medical Record for storage
  9. Pulls appropriate patient charts for coders to optimize prompt billing & minimize accounts receivable
  10. Maintains supplies and inventory as needed
  11. Maintains clean patient rooms between appointments & stocks rooms with linen & supplies
  12. Cleans equipment and treatment tables and documents per regulatory guidelines
  13. Manages incoming and outgoing mail at least every other day
  14. Takes patient payments if PAS staff is not available
  15. Manages appointments, payments and gift cards for massage clients.
  16. Fulfills the duty and responsibility to maintain competence and to continue personal and professional growth.
  17. Identifies and assists with opportunities for performance improvement activities on the unit and with other service areas.
  18. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by taking ownership of time management, decreasing waste (of time and supplies) and promoting cost effectiveness while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
  19. Demonstrates the ability to be an advocate for and strive to protect the health, safety and rights of the patient.
  20. Interactions with patients and colleagues demonstrate compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status or cultural beliefs.
  21. Communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, and staff) to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the customers we serve.
  22. Demonstrates ability to fulfill requirements of attendance, punctuality, and timekeeping practices.
  23. Behaviors and interactions demonstrate a positive attitude, personal initiative and motivation to achieve the goals of the unit.
  24. To uphold the standards of the profession and organization and practice ethically and with integrity.
  25. Other duties as assigned
