Position Description:

AIG Consumer Insurance (AGL/USL) as an opportunity for a Field Compliance Sr. Analyst in Houston, TX.
in this role you will conduct investigations of sales and business practices of select agents and agencies in the sale of AIG Consumer Insurance products, respond to Department of Insurance inquiries regarding AIG appointed agents and prepare reports of findings and present recommended disciplinary actions to management.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze, investigate & develop written responses to verbal and written inquiries from regulators and business units, including: Legal, Underwriting, New Business, Customer Solutions Unit, Distribution, Global Investigative Services and other internal partners.
• Gather information, review agent book of business, analyze and document possible unlawful, unfair and/or deceptive practices and secure evidence to support findings.
• Assist in the completion of AIG Capital Services (ACS) branch examinations to ensure wholesalers are complying with all FINRA, AIG and ACS policies and procedures.
• Assist the Anti-Money Laundering compliance department in the ongoing due diligence reviews of 3rd party financial institution partners.
• Develop and maintain all department tracking data and preparation of dashboard/trend reporting with respect to agent/agency investigations
• Assist in the development and maintenance of relevant desktop procedures for the department
• Assist the Department Head on projects on an as-needed basis.
• Assist the Department Head in workflow oversight or case management and escalation protocols.

Position Requirements:
• 3-5 years of related compliance and/or insurance operations experience, and knowledge of the Life Insurance industry including: fixed and variable products and agent sales practice concerns.
• FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 and LOMA 280 and 290.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow items and appropriate time management skills to meet deadlines for deliverables.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• High level of capabilities in research and analysis, the ability to prepare complete and logical reports.
• Proficiency with MS-Office applications including: MS-WORD, EXCEL and ACCESS are critical.
• Strong presentation skills are desired including experience in presenting issues/recommendations to members of senior management.
