JOB TITLE: HIM Technical Support Analyst

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Shared Services Center (SSC) IT Director, the HIM Technical Support Analyst functions as the primary Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) technical resource responsible for HPF System functions within the SSC. The HIM Technical Analyst will be responsible for assisting with training Health Information Service Center (HSC) staff on advanced HPF application functionality. The HIM Technical Support Analyst adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures, the implementation,

maintenance and support of the IT&S/HPF desktop equipment and software for SSC and HSC staff.

SUPERVISES: None

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

. Assist with daily NMI interface monitoring HL7, COLD feeds and verification that data has been received

successfully in HPF

. Daily HPF Index Correction Utility (ICU) monitoring

. Assist with monitoring of the Good Health Reports (vendor provided system status reports)

. Assist HIM Document Imaging leadership with imaging issues (releasing batches, monitoring RELMAG Queue etc) as second line of support

. Assist with SSC based HPF hardware issues as needed

. Run existing HPF SQL queries at the HSC and monitor results accordingly

. Document proposed changes to the HSC document master (paper forms only)

. Works the Signature Exception Queue in HPF

. Formally request changes to the HSC document master via Pyramid PWR System (i.e., addition of document types and MEDITECH Order Entry Reports) with the assistance of HCA Corporate IT&S Product Development Staff and/or HIM Shared Services Division (SSD) staff

. Assist with assignment of HPF temporary access IDs, SSC/HSC user set up and unlocking SSC/HSC user

accounts as needed

. Effectively works with customers and Technical Services Personnel

. Participates in meetings, committees, and continuing education to improve individual, departmental and

organizational performance

. Perform HPF Appropriate Access Audits timely according to the HSC Appropriate Access Roles and

Responsibilities policy

. Follow up with the manager of the employee or the employee for any inappropriate access to HPF

. Coordinates with ITSM staff escalation of formal PWR submissions and other requests as needed

. Adheres to and supports HCA IT&S standards, policies, and procedures

. Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of patient care and employee information

. Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

. Other duties as assigned
