Produce Clerks

Rice Epicurean Markets is recognized throughout the country as one of the leading independent grocery stores. We are in search of an individual who can direct and supervise all functions and activities within the Produce Department, in the absence of the Produce Manager. The responsibilities of the position are but not limited to performing the job duties of an experienced Produce Clerk. Knowledgeable in and be able to differentiate between all of the various types of produce and its merchandising formats. Experience in receiving, code dating, trimming, storing and restocking products to ensure quality, protection, and accuracy. This individual will assist in controlling freshness and product quality and help to control department expenses. This candidate will have a career emphasis on fresh foods and understand the logistical considerations of working with perishable products.
