Job Description
This position performs functions to develop sales of products and services to customers and prospects new and current end users (OEM, contract manufacturers, and machine shops, resellers) within an assigned territory in the Houston, Texas area. This is a Hunter role for new customers and new business, and a role which requires developing relationships and servicing accounts. manage personal business expenses and communicate sales trend information and customer comments to appropriate personnel for action.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
:Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing, Business, Engineering or equivalent
:Must have experience within the Oil and Gas industry
:Broad knowledge of a discipline, such as Marketing, Business, Engineering
:3 : 5 years related experience
:Account Manager must live within the general Houston, Texas metropolitan area
:Strong communication skills both written and verbal requiring tact and discretion
:Demonstrated success developing new business
:Goal oriented with a demonstrated successful track record
:Willingness to travel within territory regularly and overnight as necessary
:Ability to make a technical sale
:Ability to interface with all levels, including engineering, manufacturing and purchasing
:Ability to make a conversion sale from one material (typically steel or iron sand castings) to Dura:Bar material based on maximizing value and minimizing total cost for customer least total component cost (not material price)
:Strong interpersonal skills in engaging with others and learning the business
:Familiarity with basic features of Microsoft Products
:Ability to take initiative and work independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
:Experience in sales/marketing in the metals industry
:A strong
background/knowledge working with oil, drilling and/or completion tool companies applications
:Demonstrated consultative selling skills
:Experience selling to engineering, manufacturing and purchasing entities at OEMs, contract manufacturers and machine shops.
:Demonstrated multi:state time and territory management practices
:Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Products
:Strong presentation skills
:Ability to be a self:starter and requiring little or no supervision
