Position Description:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for growing top line sales revenue and profitability of AIG Travel’s relocation and assistance services. A successful Sales Manager will demonstrate a strong combination of the corporate sales process and relationship building, attention to detail, and ability to develop, articulate, and execute a highly profitable sales plan for all channels of business. Channels for sales development include corporate accounts, relocation management firms, insurance brokers, and third party partners. This individual will work closely with the VP of Sales, in the development of customer sales, marketing and operational plans to maximize the operating leverage of the organization.

The position requires strong account management skills and responsibility for managing and expanding existing and prospective client base of corporate relationships. The individual will ensure all reports and all customer files in CRM are maintained accurately, including key personnel, sales history, future opportunities and competitive information and will also be responsible for coordinating back office logistics. Additional responsibilities include soliciting business by conducting sales meetings, responding to inquiries, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, preparing sales reports and participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions.

Position Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have the following:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales and industry experience
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
Position requires 3 to 5 years previous sales experience and a combination of excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills. Previous global mobility industry or insurance industry experience preferred.

Sales Management
• Meet revenue sales objectives by developing business throughout the assigned territory
• Leverage existing business to develop and secure new opportunities.
• Manage account/vendor/customer inquiries
• Qualify, research and sell to new accounts and prospects
• Negotiate and prepare proposals, sales contracts to clients
• Participate in trade shows and industry events
• Provide input and help develop presentation and marketing communications materials
• Travel is required

Account Management
• Manage and grow existing accounts within assigned territory
• Maintain updated account records for contracts, leads and existing accounts
• Ensure all clients have executed contracts in-house
• Help support regional AIG/Travel Guard member companies
• Arrange for appropriate back office logistics
• Ensure policy/account data is current on all accounts for the region
• Expedite research for operations/clients on unidentified policies/accounts as requested
• Provide management feedback from prospects and existing accounts on product mix and operational processes
• Report competitor’s activities and market trends

• Contribute and develop business strategies with colleagues as a team.
• Establish effective relationships and collaborate internally with other departments to address key business issues and opportunities
