We have one of the largest Global Service and Sales organizations among precision instrument companies. We are seeking a Balance Technician in Iowa.

This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing Lab equipment which includes balances and peripherals at customer locations.

- Troubleshoots and repairs industry related products without assistance.
- Performs calibrations, preventative maintenance and certification on equipment
- Assists and cooperates with Scheduling Analyst Representatives and Service Support Team whenever necessary.
- Actively updates and ensures data integrity of the service database.
- Ensures vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met.
- Achieves assigned targets while controlling expenses
- Complies with ISO standards,work instructions and quality documentation
- Interfaces with sales to meet customer requirements.
- Ensures productivity and other assigned KPIs are met
- Ensures customer up time requirements are met and that PM work at assigned account is completed on time.
- Resolves first line customer complaints and helps resolve invoicing problems.
- Follows and adheres to all service requirements and procedures
- Is proactive in promoting and selling service and products. -Submission of sales leads is required
- Drives safely and maintains a valid driver’s license.
- Uses Lap Top PC daily to complete required paperwork
- Performs service on special products as designated by Service Team Manager.
- Maintains inventory levels necessary to meet a high First Time Fix -Rate while remaining within the company guidelines.
- Required to work OT as needed to meet business demand
- Ability to meet all physical demands as listed below
- Completes accurately and submits all required record keeping on time.
- Works to insure an atmosphere of teamwork, and participates with a positive attitude toward obtaining team objectives.
- Ensures vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures facilitates Environmental Health & Safety program.
- Submits all required paperwork in a timely and professional manner, maintains a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians and other leaders.
- Overnight travel is required to maximize efficiency while performing regular duties.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Associate's degree (AA) with a technical major or equivalent from two-year College preferred, or related job experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Customer Service and/or sales experience desirable.
