Artistic Endeavors is located in Richmond, TX.
The studio offers classes in Faux Finishing and Acrylic Art Classes for adults.
We are the only faux finishing school in the Houston area focused on techniques, not products. The studio offers hands-on classes in faux painting and art classes for beginners, intermediate artists. Faux Finishing Classes and Workshops are designed to give each student a portfolio that is individual and unique from those seen everyday. Sheri’s finishes have been inspired from designer fabrics, interiors and styles, not from books or products taught in other schools. Art Classes will inspire you to explore your creativity and learn to develop your own style of painting. If there is any “secret” to painting, it is in learning new ways in how you see the world around you and then expressing what you see it on canvas. I teach a technique using pallet knives and brushes to create dimension, shapes and colors. My style is more of a impressionist type painting, therefore you don’t need to know how to draw, however, some of my students paint more detailed paintings. My emphasis is the use of vivid colors and shading. Come join the fun! To insure individualized instruction, all classes are limited to a maximum of 8 students. Visit our website for more information. www.sheriherbert.com Photographs: Art and Faux Students • Location: Richmond, Texas

~Explore, Dream, Discover, Early Child Development Home...TOGETHER Fostering & Exploring Our Children's Dreams of Today For Their Discovery Tomorrow.
** **TO ENSURE ONE ON ONE ATTENTION IS PROVIDED I AM ONLY ACCEPTING 2 TO 3 CHILDREN AT A TIME****Call Today for a live interaction sample 818-634-0213 The saying, "Mother Knows Best" is not only respected in my home, it is implemented via technology. As an Educator with a passion for early child development, I understand the importance of a mother's personal knowledge. I need to know what that face my student is making means, to understand that the way they are sitting in the swing is not comfortable, that they dont like the color green! There are a billion tid bits of info that moms hold about their children that they couldnt share if they had a week to sit with me and explain, but when a teacher is able at any moment to ask whats going on with their student, and the mother has live access all day to view her child....you have a fail-proof education for your child and the ultimate in child-centered care that well....Only a Mother Could Give. Through All Day Parent/Educator Interaction via webCam and Instant Messenger There will barely be a moment you are not involved in your child's day. No matter the situation, when your child is in my care, you will be with him. My name is Christina (Experience Listed Below), a 30 year young Texas Certified Teacher holding a BA in Early Childhood Education and Associates in Early Child Development. I come from a long family line of wonderful educators making a difference in our schools. I however have chosen to return to the more personal, nurturing path of educating children through a one on one education and early developmental mastery in my home. Studies have shown the most important age in a child's life developmentally is birth to age seven. These developmental first simply cannot be ignored. I know their importance and the stimulus activities that must be addressed so that each child's beginning fosters a future to where they are able to reach their full potential in life. Through my education I am able to know and address their needs and through my love and passion for children I am more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure these proper developmental needs are addressed for your child. I will be providing overall general lesson plans at the start of each week with age appropriate activities, and the corresponding essential developmental stage it addresses for your child. In addition to general lesson plans I will provide an IEP for each child (Individual Education Plan), these will target any specific goals we (parent/teacher) have discussed and a detailed typed out plan establishing the implementation of activities and lessons I will walk your child through step by step until these goals are reached. I will also provide daily tattle sheets in a binder for each child, addressing everything they experienced for the day from what they ate to how long and well they napped, their moods, what they enjoyed/did not enjoy, etc..as well as a weekly lunch menu. I do not own a TV because I believe it is the number one distractor from a child's (and adults) education, it impedes our ability to view education as natural, enjoyable and fun. As long as there is no TV in my home for a child to desire to be turned on, there is no longer a distraction and your child will want to be engaged in the more fun and educational activities that television can not offer. I am highly knowledgeable and experienced with infant care (personally with live in care of my twin nephews and 6 God children and professionally with day cares, classes, and nanny work. You can be sound leaving a newborn in my loving and nurturing arms. I am also certified to educate children living with autism and children functioning add, or adhd. I am more than willing to open my home to these angels as well, however due to the high demands of their educational needs I might not be able to take in all three children (depending upon their severity and functioning level) this unfortunately would ensue a higher price of care, but would need to be discussed and evaluated before any decisions are agreed upon. I have over 20 years experience in dance, ballet, hip-hop, and theatrical therefore I will also be offering without extra cost to you an hour of dance instruction per day if interested. . I live in a beautiful neighborhood (River Oaks/Midtown) with several nearby parks. I have an adorably charming 2 bedroom...my room/office and a beautiful nursery (my home is very, very clean). I live above my neighbor's home day care, which is run by them, a very kind and sweet elderly couple who have 35 years in the business, and are currently caring for a total of 3 toddlers . This couple is bilingual and so we have teamed up to offer parents who are interested bilingual/Spanish lessons to the children in my care and dance instruction to the children in their care. I will open my doors starting next week from 6am to 6pm M-F, My weekly rate is due on Monday of each week, 150 for ages 9mos to 4yrs and 200 for newborns to 8 mos, with a one time $200 enrollment fee, this will cover your child's first general overall developmental assessment and the original base IEP which I will review with you before implementation. I am only accepting three children for now to ensure one on one attention, education and care. Once I am at full capacity you can contact me for a visit and to be placed on a waiting list. I would not be able to provide this personal attention nor address their individual needs through personal developmentally focused lessons if I were the size of even a small day care.I believe it is important for not only myself but the parents of the children in my care to neither view nor address my service as a day care center. The service I am able to provide your child will prove itself outstanding in education, quality, and nurturing-motherly care. In order for me to follow my passion and provide this top quality of care I must also charge more for my service. The possibility of taking any more children will depend fully upon the needs and situation of the first three children enrolled, I will then no longer seek to fill any openings. After spending time with them and addressing their personal developmental needs and careful consideration and discussion with their parents there is a possibility of one last opening but this possibility will not be considered until and unless the first three who are enrolled are provided for to the best of my ability. Part Time enrollment is a flat rate of $100 for 3 days or less and also is contingent upon the first three children enrolled. Earlier and later drop off/pick up as well as emergency overnight services are available with prior notice/approval and additional fees. My experience is listed below. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. http://texassexaddiction.wordpress.com/ Years ago, a behavioral study unearthed a shocking discovery about traditional counseling methods. Many of those who enrolled in traditional counseling methods for addictions, compulsions, infidelity, relationship issues or other unwanted behaviors and thinking took longer to recover than those who didn’t! There may be a variety of reasons that contribute to this, yet the most important is this: We adults forget 90% of what’s ever happened to us. Through our childhood filters, we deem 10% ‘Important enough to remember’ and the rest is ‘lost’ to our subconscious. This means, at best, most traditional counseling methods only have access to 10% of our significant information. The unresolved core issues existing in our other 90% remain LOCKED AWAY, indelibly recorded in our brain…below our conscious awareness. The Principle of Real Estate applies…”LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!” You must LOCATE and ‘OWN’ (identify) the problem in order to FIX IT long term.
