Elizabeth Cencini's Studio presents Art Classes for Beginner Oil Painters at Winter Street Studios near Downtown!!!
Do you know someone with artistic talent that would like to learn how to paint? My classes are affordable and small so that you receive the best possible attention.

Elizabeth Cencini is offering still life classes for beginners starting September 20th. Learn hands on with actual subjects and learn the techniques that the old masters used. Elizabeth studied art in Florence, Italy and she wants to preserve the way that classical painting was taught to her. She is also an undergraduate at the University of Houston degreed in Painting.

Price: $ 25.00 (when taking more than 3 classes) or $30.00 a session. Private classes are 20.00 an hour. Classes will be held at her studio. Classes are available from September until May. Class enrollment is limited.

Artistic Endeavors is located in Richmond, TX. The studio offers classes in Faux Finishing and Acrylic Art Classes for adults.

We are the only faux finishing school in the Houston area focused on techniques, not products.

The studio offers hands-on classes in faux painting and art classes for beginners, intermediate artists.

Faux Finishing Classes and Workshops are designed to give each student a portfolio that is individual and unique from those seen everyday. Sheri’s finishes have been inspired from designer fabrics, interiors and styles, not from books or products taught in other schools.

Art Classes will inspire you to explore your creativity and learn to develop your own style of painting. If there is any “secret” to painting, it is in learning new ways in how you see the world around you and then expressing what you see it on canvas.

I teach a technique using pallet knives and brushes to create dimension, shapes and colors. My style is more of a impressionist type painting, therefore you don’t need to know how to draw, however, some of my students paint more detailed paintings. My emphasis is the use of vivid colors and shading. Come join the fun!

Come To The 21st Annual Lone Star Vegetarian Chili Cook Off

WHAT:

For the 21st year in a row, the Lone Star Vegetarian Network (LSVN) is messin' with a serious Texas tradition. On Sunday, November 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., teams from across the Lone Star state will gather at the Historic Farmers Market in Austin to compete in one of the fiercest competitions in the field of chili cookin'. Yes, it's a high-spirited event, but it's also fun, healthy and animal friendly. It's the best tastin' and heart healthiest Chili Cook Off Ever!!!!

Chili teams create an amazing array of delicious meatless chili to taste. With unexpected ingredients, consistencies and flavors on a wide range on the heat index, these magical concoctions will both delight and dazzle the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian. The chilies range from mild and spicy with a good balance of flavors to fiery, toenail curling chili with an aggressive use of peppers. Contestants go wild with their creative use of ingredients…….which is only limited by their imaginations. And boy, are they imaginative!

Chili teams also compete for the best booth. They tend to be extravagant in their creative themes, costumes and decorations.

ACTIVITIES:

A day filled with tasty vegan competition, compassionate camaraderie, mingling, "celebrity judges," significant cash awards and enviable trophies for winners, knee slapping and toe tapping live music, animal rescue groups, animal adoptions, children's table, face painting, fabulous door prizes, exceptional vendors and interesting, educational exhibits. It's a "must attend Texas event of the year."

COST:

Free for 0-5, $3 for 6-12, $7 for 13 and older.
