South By Due East 2013 starts Friday night March 8th and runs through Monday night the 11th at famed Houston Heights hang-out Dan Electro's Guitar Bar. This free to the public (but donations strongly encouraged)annual event is also a gift of free multi-track recordings and multi camera video to the artist participants - and this year features a special all-star line-up event to close it all out on Monday night.

Now in our eleventh year of multi-track recording and video taping artists performing original material – diversity is back on Friday evening as we kick it off with a line up featuring: the hectic; Little Big Rock; Recovery Room; Stony Jamal; Franky B Boy from the Netherlands and five more...

Each night at 10pm, Guy Schwartz and the New Jack Hippies welcome several area songwriter's, singers, rappers, and poets onstage to TEACH THE BAND A SONG, right in front of the cameras. It's always one of the most popular internet segments of the sbde television show and this year's line-up is sure to please.

On Saturday, SBDE 2013 moves to two stages showcasing 20 artists including: Sarah Golden; Nick Gaitan and the Umbrella Man; Idiginis; the Paul Rameriz Band; and Rick Lee and the Night Owls - all before sun down. Then its' a rocking Saturday night, including: Feo y Loco; Black Kennedy; Devil Killing Moth; Levon Louis, AKA Mushroom Lounge; and Raga El the International.

But wait.. oh yeah there's more...

Sunday starts out rocking
with Yello Echo; Shaving Susie; Richard Cagle & the Voodoo Choir; and Vanilla Sugar Plus. Then lay back with an adult beverage on the patio and soak in the afternoon singer songwriter block vibes of the Texas Spring featuring John Evans; Matt Harlen, and Dean Cook...
followed by a blues double feature extravaganza starting with
Dave Nevling and Annika Chambers. The Billy Bourbon Band and a special “Un-advertised” guest round up the night.

This year SBDE 2013 features a special all-star line-up event to close it out on Monday night featuring: Steve Krase; Miss Trudy Lynn; Bert Wills & BluesGuy Schwartz.
