Prelude Music Classes for children is pleased to announce that the eight week long Summer Session of classes will begin June 23, 2013. Pre-registration is required and is currently open to all.

Prelude teaches music classes using the Music Together® curriculum. Summer classes will be held at Prelude’s new home at 3701 W. Alabama, Suite 210, Houston, TX, 77027. Participants can register online at or by calling 832-803-7701.

Family classes are open to children from birth to age 5, grouping children of various ages to foster natural, family-style learning. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching or exploring musical instruments. Babies eight months and younger at the time of registration may attend a Family Class, whether registered on their own or attending free with an older brother or sister.

Babies classes are offered as a one-semester introduction to Music Together®., focusing on activities and materials specially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about musical development in babies. Meet other parents of newborns and learn engaging music activities you can recreate at home with your baby.

Guitar for Grownups was designed for parents and caregivers of children currently enrolled in a Music Together® class. In this 60 minute class, you will learn basic guitar technique and songs from the current song collection so that you can make even MORE beautiful music at home. This class is good for beginners or those with some guitar knowledge.

Big Kids ™ Choir is offered during the summer. It will use the Summer Music Together collection presented with developmentally appropriate movements and exercises (including solfeggio) for your 5 to 7-year-old child. We will also learn several extra Americana songs!
