We are an old-school style punk rock band in its infancy looking for a drummer. We're all in the 17-20 age-range, and so we're wanting someone around that area (it certainly isn't manditory, though). We have a vocalist/lyricist (me), a lead guitarist, a rhythm guitarist, and a bassist.

A few of our influences are the Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, the Damned (later albums, mostly), the Misfits, Anti-Nowhere League, the Exploited (mostly the first two albums), and a bit of the Stranglers' stuff. Fairly cliche list, we know, but we aren't flakes, or anything like that. We want to toy with all kinds of things within the realms of punk-rock (sans the modern pop-punk garbage), so we need someone who is somewhat diverse. Generally, however, we're going for a hardcore sound most of the time, so someone who specializes in playing fast would be ideal, but it would help if you could also play other styles. Also, a lot of our lyrics are satirical, and dark-humor oriented, so it'd help if you had a sense of humor. On that lyrical note, we might throw in something a bit more Misfits/metal sounding, as well.

Finally, NO DRUGS! We've had two drummers who were into that shit, and we aren't dealing with it anymore. Repeat, NO DRUGS! No exceptions. Also, if you drink, do it on your own time.

I'm an Asian female manager looking to complete a band. I currently have a lyricist who also plays guitar and a drummer. I am specifically wanting to add three more Asian female musicians - a bassist, guitarist and keyboard player. jamband whom plays grateful dead & similar material with originals seeks a seasoned drummer / percussionist who knows how to keep a groove while another percussionist solos with a lead player , we also are willing to audition semi seasoned players as well, our goal as a band is to have half the drums / percussion with the rhythm & half with the lead giving the band a poly rhythm effect most of the time.

as well we were hoping to find a drummer / percussionist whom is a multi-instrumentalist who can move from one percussive art to another smoothly, ideally as an example, someone whom can play midi / samples then move to a simple groove on a small kit, then on too didgeridoo, rain sticks, tuned percussion & more..

however, finding a drummer that simply has a good steady groove and listens well would be just fine, our current drummer / percussionist can handle the other various percussive arts.

Because they are so amazing, we're forming a Minus The Bear tribute band. I'm Taylor, I'll be playing drums, and, unless we find someone, doing vocals, and Cody will be playing lead guitar. We're both in another band full time, and have no qualms about you being in another either, so this will be a laid back, meet every other week or so-type side project; however, don't let that fool you.
