I'm a songwriter, play a little bass, drums, & keys. I have no guitar skills and my keyboard skills are basic so, I’m looking to collaborate with a guitar or keyboard player.
If you can do both ...great, less cooks in the kitchen. I have plenty of songs that are just missing the final ingredients but I’m also open to cooking up something new from scratch. The following points are meant to help weed out some people so as not to waste your time or mine: 1. SOUL/pop/FUNK/rock Project (note the stress on the Soul & Funk) 2. I'm a female guitarist/vocalist looking for a vocalist/guitarist to form a duo to play the retirement and assisted living homes. I've played them before playing 1940's standards, but now I'd like to revisit them playing mid-1950's rock n roll (Everly Bros, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison etc.) and 1950's country (Conway Twitty, George Jones, Patsy Cline etc.) From experience I've had requests for these artists and the residents are of the age when these artists were popular...plus I'd have a blast playing them. I'm not a great vocalist but a sufficient one. My strength is lead guitar. So I prefer someone who has the chops vocally and can play some adequate rhythm guitar. Male or female, I don't care. These gigs would be mainly during the weekday and usually are only 45 mins- 1 hr long. And the pay is good. Thanks for reading.

Well Established Classic country group searching for a solid lead guitarist. Vocals helpful but not required. We only have a couple of gigs booked ahead for now but it's only because we are having trouble finding a good guitar man. This crap is getting to be more & more like the American Idol auditions. It goes something like this:::: I can play anything...I know all those old country songs....Sure I can play George Jones & Merle Haggard tunes....OK..Please kick off "Swingin' Doors in the key of "D"...Uh..Swingin' What? Is that a Beevis & Motley Cornflake song?....Then we waste a 2 hour rehearsal trying to explain a 1 - 5 - 1 kickoff to a "professional" who can't find his own ass with both hands. If there are any REAL country guitar players out there who want to play 6 to 8 gigs per month, PLEASE contact us a.s.a.p.! We'd like to get out & book up the rest of the year. But, Please don't waste our time & yours if you've never heard of Waylon, Hank, Lefty, Cash, Milsap, Strait, etc...

I play guitar, sing, write songs/lyrics, etc. I'm PREFERABLY looking for females but really looking for anyone who's interested (female or male) & shares same music interests. I need a bassist & a drummer for a 3 piece original band. It's a PLUS if either/both can sing OR just sing back-up vocals, but it's NOT necessary! I have my own equipment & my own transporation. I'm dedicated, serious, ready to practice, play shows, promote, record songs, hopefully travel & have some fun! My house has a jam room/studio = FREE! But I'm willing to jam at your place also.
