We are a group in the Clear Lake area currently doing experimental, acoustic, garage rock. We are looking for a cello, violin, or viola player to help round things out. We only do original music. No Covers.
A few of our influences are, The Velvet Underground, The Smiths, Brian Jonestown Massacre, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain, Gram Parsons, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Dylan, Chesterfield Kings, shoegaze, folk music, and some country. SOUNDPROOF is a dynamic Houston-based five-piece variety band. "Outstanding" is a word frequently used to describe SOUNDPROOF...and with good reason! The SOUNDPROOF band members are some of the most talented, versatile, and experienced musicians in the Houston area. SOUNDPROOF does excellent versions of cover songs from many musical genres (classic rock, blues, R&B, disco, Motown, funk, jazz, swing, and country)as well as a few originals. SOUNDPROOF normally performs as a five-piece band, but we can add a horn section or violin and/or pedal steel guitar at your request. We can also provide a scaled-down version of the band (duo,trio or four-piece) if required. SOUNDPROOF will definitely get your motor runnin'!
